An airway is successfully obtained.
An endotracheal tube is placed and confirmed with EtCO2, equal bilateral breath sounds, and no sounds over the epigastrium.
The patient's SpO2 improves to 100%. The BP (80/60) and HR (140) remain the same.
The patient is collared and backboarded and placed in the back of the rescue vehicle. A large bore IV is placed in the upper extremity with 1000 ml of NS infused. The BP improves to 92/67.
The patient is at risk for hypothermia and coagulopathy.
